House prices dropped for the seventh consecutive month in April, according to a survey by Hometrack. The group which monitors house prices said that average house prices were down across half the country by 0.6 per cent over the month. Hometrack said that the annual rate of growth was now -0.9 per cent, the lowest since January 2006.
