Park Group Plc said on Tuesday that its sales were recovering following the failure of hamper company Farepak in 2006. The Christmas savings group saw its revenue drop 34 per cent in 2007 after Farepak crumbled.

Yell Group cuts dividend by 50%
Yell Group said on Tuesday that it's after tax profit for the full year to 31 March had risen 6.4 per cent to £294.2 million. Revenue for the company was also up 6.9 per cent to £2,218.7 million.

BG approaches Origin for takeover
BG Group has said that it has approached Origin Energy Limited with a takeover proposal to acquire all of the company's shares at a cash price of A$14.70 per share. Origin is the largest integrated energy company in Australia.

Insurance company Beazley Group Plc has released its interim management statement for the first quarter of 2008. The company said that it was continuing to deliver strong results and that performance was within expected business plans.

The Co-operative Group has said that it was in talks to buy fellow supermarket Somerfield. Whilst talks are said to be only in the initial stages Co-operative said that is a "strong-fit" between the companies.

Retailer Kesa sees difficult trading conditions
Electricals retailer Kesa, owner of French group Darty, reported a group profit of 145.6 million pounds for the last financial year and said it expected trading conditions to be difficult.
