London - In our previous article Smartphone shootout: Google Nexus One versus Apple iPhone 3GS (1) , we have pitted Nexus One against iPhone 3GS to find out whether Nexus One's a real 'iPhone killer.' Nexus One's a formidable iPhone challenger but iPhone's a mean streetfighter too. Can iPhone outlast Nexus One in this fight? To find out, read on.

[6] Processor: Nexus One will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Arm Cortex A8 1Ghz processor while iPhone 3GS is powered by ARM Cortex A8 600MHz processor.

Winner: Nexus One. Though both are powered by ARM-based Cortex A8 processor, Nexus One's processor promises blazing fast speed. Period.

[7] Browser: Nexus One will feature a Webkit browser while iPhone 3GS comes with a Safari browser.

Winner: Nexus One. As its browser will be able to support Javascript and Flash-based webpages, unlike iPhone's browser.

[8] Music and Video: Both the phones come with media player that supports multiple audio and video playback formats. However, iPhone can double up as an iPod.

Winner: iPhone 3GS. iPhone doubles up as an iPod and allows you access to iTunes Store where you can shop millions of songs, movies and TV shows and download them via WiFi.

iPhone also boasts of proprietary features such as Genius Mixes (this feature automatically searches your library to find songs that sound great together and then it creates multiple mixes you'll love, just like a personal radio station), Genius Playlists (this feature finds other songs on your iPod Touch that sound great with the one you were listening to and makes a Genius playlist for you, which you can listen to right away or save it for later) and Voice Control (a feature that gives you the ability to control music playback with spoken commands).

[9] Storage and Memory: Nexus One will come with 512MB RAM and has a microSD card slot (expandable up to 32GB; Nexus One will ship with 4GB card). On the other hand, iPhone 3GS comes with 256MB RAM and a choice of 16GB/32GB internal storage.

Winner: Nexus One. Simply because it packs more memory and comes with an expansion card slot. The absence of a microSD card slot in iPhone makes it look so 'un-smart' as the expansion slot in Nexus One ensures that the phone can always keep up with your ever expanding needs.
