Bodies of man and two children found
The bodies of two small children and a man in his thirties have been found at a garage in Southampton, police said.
The grim discovery was made by officers on Sunday evening.
Hampshire Constabulary said they were not seeking anyone else in connection with the deaths.
The man was named locally as David Cass, Sky News reported.
The Sun newspaper said he was the children's father and was found hanged at the garage where he had worked until recently as a mechanic.
It said the children, aged one and three, had been suffocated.
He was estranged from the children's mother and had phoned her on Sunday threatening to kill them, the paper said.
She immediately called the police, who found the three bodies at the rear of the garage in Paynes Road in Southampton's Shirley area.
A former work colleague said he had been worried about Cass's state of mind.
"Saturday, he said to me: 'I'm going away, I've got a plan,'" John Martin told BBC television. "I said: 'Don't do anything stupid.'"
