Posted 21 August 2008 @ 08:20 am GMT
Housebuilder Persimmon reported a 64 percent fall in profits on Thursday and reduced its dividend to 5 pence per share from 18.5 pence due to tough first half trading and very difficult housing market conditions.
The company posted 100.9 million pounds in profits before tax for the six months to end-June, compared to 281.1 million last year and two analyst estimates of between 102.7 million and 104.9 million pounds.
