Vodafone, the world's largest mobile phone group by revenue, is to introduce a 1 billion pound share buy back programme, after the shares slumped following its first-quarter results.
The announcement will need shareholder approval at the company's annual general meeting on July 29.
Shares in Vodafone slumped almost 14 percent on Tuesday after the group said its full-year revenue would be at the bottom of a previously stated forecast.
