Dairy Crest in line with expectations
Posted 17 July 2008 @ 10:30 am GMT
Dairy Crest said on Thursday that its first quarter trading was in line with expectations and that its full year expectations were unchanged.
The company's food division saw sales rise 14 per cent in the three months to 30 June compared with the same period last year. The rise was attributed to strong growth in key brands and price increases.
The group's dairies division saw sales increase five per cent in the period.
In a statement the company said, "The group continues to achieve good brand growth, with price increases and cost savings broadly offsetting the well documented input cost inflation."
