Imperial Energy receives offer

Imperial Energy Corporation Plc said on Monday that it received a takeover approach which may lead to an offer being made for the firm.
Imperial Energy is an oil exploration and production company which operates in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), comprised of former states of the USSR.
The company said it would make a further announcement when appropriate.
Shares in Imperial Energy were boosted by the announcement. By 9:20 am shares in the firm were up 22.41 per cent to 945 pence per share.
