Anheuser-Busch and InBev in possible friendly takeover
Posted 11 July 2008 @ 10:35 am GMT
Anheuser-Busch is said to be in active talks with Belgian brewer InBev to sell itself to the company in a friendly deal.
The New York Times cited people briefed on the matter, who claimed that InBev said it may be willing to pay over the $65 per share it originally offered for the Anheuser-Busch.
The sources however added that the talks could still end without a deal being reached.
