Sir Richard Branson is reported to be in talks with Brazilian partners to start up an airline in Brazil.
According to reports by the Agencia Estado news service, Branson said the new airline would be like a "Virgin Brazil", beginning with domestic flights before expanding to international flights.
Branson said, "Brazil is a very dynamic market and we haven't paid enough attention to it in the past," reports Agencia Estado.
He continued, "We know there is a lot of room to grow given the country's size and the need to develop the air transportation system for Brazil's own growth."
According to the report Branson said that the talks were ongoing and an announcement is expected soon.
