Go-Ahead expect record results for 2008
Go-Ahead Group Plc said on Thursday that it had strong revenue from its bus business and excellent performance in its rail division in the year ending 28 June 2008. The transport services company said it expected full year results to be ahead of previous expectations and of last years record results.
The company said it expected full year operating profit from its rail division to be higher than the £66.1 million it achieved last year.
Go-Ahead said that it had bus fuel hedges in place for all of the needs of the next financial year and half of that needed for the year after.
The company said, "Our bus division is performing well. We have continued to improve margins, despite higher fuel costs and expect to deliver a significant increase in operating profit for the full year compared with the 55.8 million pounds achieved last year."
