Adobe Systems has said its profits rose 41 per cent in the second quarter due to strong demand from international markets. Sales in the US however were reported as being flat.
The US software firm that developed Acrobat, Flash and Photoshop said that its net income was $214.9 million (£109 million) for the three months ending 30 May.
Looking ahead, the firm said it expected revenue in the third quarter to be $855 million to $885 million.
Shantanu Narayen, chief executive of the company, said, "Demand for our products remains strong. (But) we are not immune to a recession," reports the BBC.
Narayen said he expected strong performance in international markets to continue, especially in emerging markets like Brazil, China and Eastern Europe.
