BA begins long haul flights from T5
Posted 05 June 2008 @ 10:53 am GMT
British Airways and BAA today began moving long haul flights from Terminal 4 to the new Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport. British airways also said that it would begin transferring its other long haul flights in two further phases.
The airline said that the next transfer of flights to Terminal 5 would be on 17 September 2008, with the second phase to be at the end of October 2008.
British Airways said, "Terminal 5 is working well, and this phased move has been planned in the interests of our passengers and the smooth operation of Heathrow over the busy summer period."
Long haul flights from Terminal 5 were delayed following its chaotic opening earlier this year.
