Man held over missing make-up artist
The husband of an award-winning TV make-up artist is being questioned over her disappearance, media reported on Friday.
Diane Chenery-Wickens, from Duddleswell in East Sussex, has not been seen since she vanished from her home in January.
Police said on Thursday a woman walking her dog had found a decomposed body, believed to be of a woman, hidden near a lane in Little Horsted, near Uckfield.
"Whilst the potential link with the Diane Chenery-Wickens' case is an obvious line of inquiry, we need to keep an open mind until the formal identification and investigation of the scene have concluded," said Detective Chief Inspector Steve Johns.
Police said a 51-year-old man, also from Duddleswell, had been rearrested on Thursday evening in connection with the make-up artist's disappearance.
Media reports said the man was her husband David, 51, who has been previously held by detectives on suspicion of murder.
Chenery-Wickens won an Emmy for the TV mini-series "Arabian Nights" in 2000 and was nominated for Baftas for her work on the BBC show "Dead Ringers" in 2004 and 2005.
She had also worked on a variety of BBC shows and dramas including "Pride and Prejudice", "The League of Gentlemen" and "Big Train".
