Reckitt gets US permission to acquire Adams

UK based Reckitt Benckiser Group have said that they have received antitrust approval from US regulators to acquire US drugmaker Adams Respiratory Therapeutics.
Both companies announced that they had received an early termination of the waiting period under the Hart Scott Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act.
Adams Respiratory Therapeutics manufactures cough and congestion medicine.
Reckitt Benckiser agreed to buy the company in December 2007 for £1.16 billion.
