Infrastructure investment drives 3i and GE plans

Among other infrastructure deals, investment banks including Merrill Lynch and Goldman Sachs are also setting up infrastructure funds.
French private equity firm PAI Partners is shopping French water distributor Saur, while the UK's National Grid has attracted interest from a range of infrastructure funds and buyout firms for its broadcast and mobile phone mast business, people familiar with the matter have said.
