EasyJet October Traffic and Revenue up from Last Year

Budget airline easyJet, today announced its passenger statistics for October 2006. In October 2,935,355 earned seats were flown, an increase of 7.3% from the same month of the previous year.
Earned seats include those seats which have been bought buy passengers, it does not necessarily mean number of actual passengers.
The load factor for the month, being the percentage of available seats taken up, was 83.2%. This was down 2.4% from the same month of the previous year.
Total revenue in the month was £1,640m, and increase of 20.8% on October 2005. On 14th November 2006 easyJet will be announcing its preliminary results for the year ended 30th September 2006.
