EasyJet Profits Ahead of Expectation

EasyJet today reported in a statement that its revenue in September was “slightly ahead of expectations.” Passenger growth for the financial year was 11.5%.
Unit revenue (total revenue per seat) increased by 7.8% from the previous year. easyJet is now predicting a pre tax profit to be ahead of its previous prediction of 40% to 50% growth.
EasyJet has also been expanding on its position as the largest budget airline in Spain, by announcing six new routes from Madrid as well as increasing freqency of existing routes from Madrid.
EasyJet’s preliminary results for the year ended 30th September 2006 will be announced on 14th November 2006.
